Strive - Project Manager

DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager is responsible for development, coordination, implementation, and completion of specific projects that are consistent with the strategy, commitments, and goals of Strive’s national Cradle to Career Network and add value to individual members. In addition, the Project Manager will play a support role in delivering technical assistance to sites looking to expedite the development of Cradle to Career Partnerships. A key member of the Strive team, the ideal candidate is a generalist with detail orientation, project management skills, and a deep commitment to the Network mission.

Duties and Resposibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Provides research support and develops and implements tools and resources to support the work of the emerging Cradle to Career Network.
  • Prepares written communication, including producing reports, presentations, online communication and other publications.
  • Builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders, responds to general inquiries about Strive’s work, and builds and maintains communications database for these inquiries.
  • Provides event planning and management support.
  • Provides support on the delivery of technical assistance to sites, including preparation of materials, documentation of proceedings, and delivery of specific content.
  • Delivers presentations on Strive’s work when necessary.

EDUCATION, JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree required; with three years related experience. Excellent relationship-building and analytical skills required, with ability to make decisions based on available information. Team orientation with strong work ethic. High levels of resourcefulness, critical thinking, and creative problem solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have the ability to travel 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk. Maximum unassisted lift = 35lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor and calculator. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.

Environmental Requirements:

Inside average office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment required. Ambient temperature between 68 and 76F.
